WILL I HAVE FUN?

Absolutely! You will be working with fellow artists that love what they do. They all believe in getting the best shot, helping those around, and giving back. We believe in an open door type of class where nothing is hidden and everything is shared.

WHO IS THE FACILITATOR OF THE COURSE, IS IT AN EDITORIAL ARTIST, WHERE IS IT HELD?

Editorial hairstylist and celebrity artist, and Redken’s international facilitator Giovanni Giuntoli along with artists of the Tearsheet artistic team guide and coach you to getting the best possible hairstyles and photographs. Giovanni and team intimately shares with you styling techniques, and behind the scene tricks, they uses on magazine sets, stage and around the world. From iron work, to working with hair extensions and wigs. We cover it all with you on the photo set. Build on your existing skill set or start creating techniques. Feel confident to step out and try something new to compliment your talents in hair by offering more to your clientele. All this happens in the heart of New York City.

HOW MANY ATTENDEES ARE IN A TEARSHEET COURSE?

We are strong believers in attendee focused training. We hold no more than 10-12 attendees in a course. This allows you to have a close 2 to 1 ratio with our team members. It allows for direct education and guidance and a focused trained eye for you. Coaches work closely with each attendee and coaches you on how to get the best hair for the shot.

HOW MANY DAYS IS THE TEARSHEET COURSE?

We have added other types of workshop in a variation of days ranging in 1,2 and most are 3 days.

Our 3 day courses – Sunday is packed full of hands on and the behind the scenes business of freelancing information that no one else shares. Monday and Tuesday are full days of shooting. Both Monday and Tuesday expect to finish around 6:00 pm.

HOW IS THE OVERALL FEELING AND SETUP OF THE CLASS?
The team want you to feel what its like to be on a high end magazine photo shoot. We carefully put all the aspects of a magazine shoot together and infuse world class education into it. The take home is not only high quality photographs of your hairstyles, but also intense education to help you not only on your next shoot, but also in the salon, and in your business.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE A PART OF THE TEARSHEET ARTISTIC TEAM?
You only need to graduate from at least one Tearsheet course. We want you to feel confident knowing you have had editorial experience and education by one of the best out companies
WHO IS PART OF THE TEARSHEET ARTISTIC NETWORK? CAN ANYONE JOIN?
You need only be a graduate of one of Tearsheet’s editorial courses to become a member of the Artistic Network. Our graduates consist of international artists including salon owners, salon stylists, NYC freelance artists and international artists, spokespersons, and leading product line educators from all over.
DO I GET MY OWN MODEL EACH DAY?

Yes, everyone gets their own models. Unless you are doing a “share” tuition. These models make a living from modeling for magazines, and runway work

WHERE DO WE SHOOT MY HAIRSTYLES? DO I HELP ON SET WHILE MY MODEL IS BEING PHOTOGRAPHED?

We shoot your hairstyles in the heart of NYC. Tearsheet is designed to give you an experience of a magazine photo shoot infused with education from top editorial hairstylists and fellow artists. You will not only create hairstyles, you will work closely with your photographer on set working with a wind machine or adding the final touches to the perfect shot.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE ANYTHING ELSE FROM THE TEARSHEET COURSE?

There is nothing else you need to pay for during the workshop. You will receive all your images in a lo-res size and un-retouched, you will have an opportunity to

purchase the images at our negotiated rate and bundle deals from our photographers if you choose and if wanting to print the images.

 

WHERE DO WE EAT IN THE AREA? IS IT EXPENSIVE?
We provide breakfast and lunch for the entire team during the 3 days. No need to worry about leaving the studio in search of food, in the meantime, taking time away from your class experience.
